MAY (still) be the best month ever!

This time last year, I was totally singing May's praises and here I am again. In every way, May 2018 did not disappoint.

Let's start with the weather. After a VERY rainy (and often chilly) April, May has been sunny and gorgeous here! We've been out and about!
And enjoying all the green grass and blooming flowers!
May has also proven to be a great month for our kids at school. The third grade took their annual field trip downtown to check out Cincinnati's big landmarks. Here are Sam and some of his classmates!
Sebastian with his "Gumball machine" painting. :-)
And Brie at Mini Society! Her shop was called "Cube Curiosities." She put a lot into her origami boxes with a special surprise inside and did a great job with sales!
Tony, Sebastian and I had a blast shopping at Mini Society, too! Brenna had a photo booth...check out our pic!
Another major highlight of the month?? Brie's team won their eighth and final soccer game...a perfect season! Go, Kicks!
Being season champs (again!) was pretty sweet!
Later that day, we celebrated with neighbors...
And enjoyed a special sendoff for our wonderful neighbors from France (who are moving back to Europe).
Then Tony turned 40! We celebrated in many ways, including some serious frozen yogurt!
The only small hiccup in May?? Brie fractured her arm at the farewell party when doing gymnastics with friends in the grass! While the swelling went down, Brie wore a splint for a week...
But then the good news! It turned out that her fracture wasn't nearly as bad as the radiologist said it was. The orthopedist delivered the surprising news that Brie didn't even need a cast; she can wear a hard brace for a few weeks...and go swimming, too! Woohoo!!
And then, in the blink of an eye, it was the last day of school! Here are our rising 4th and 3rd graders!!
One of our neighbors invited all the moms over for an end-of-school "liquid lunch"...such a fun way to celebrate another great year!
And Gammy arrived just in time...
For Tony and I to head north to Columbus and rock out with Hall & Oates and Train!
 The concert was fabulous.
Both bands played all their hits!! And Tony and I FINALLY got to see Hall & Oates live...we've come close several times before.
More Memorial Day weekend fun?? The pool opened!
We were spoiled with lots of good eats while Gammy was visiting, including homemade strawberry ice cream out on the deck!
This year's Memorial Day parade did not disappoint!
It was touching and patriotic...and fun! And the kids got A TON of candy!
And it was hot, so the pool was a must afterward!
Then we capped off our amazing month with one last playdate with our Parisian neighbors. We're really going to miss them. Bon Voyage, Daphné and Samuel!
I have a feeling that May 2019 is going to be awesome, too. We're on a roll!
