七夕!Happy Tanabata, everyone!

Today is Tanabata--one of my favorite Japanese holidays! Maybe you remember it from my post last year? I was a little guy!

Well, here's me this year: I've grown a lot! And I'm sporting a cute new outfit from Aunt Miki, Uncle Kenji and cousin Riku in Japan! I loved wearing this...it made me want to eat summer festival foods and ride the bullet train!

Did you have a happy 4th of July?? Mine was very fun! I played piano with Gammy!

And broke in the wonderful backpack that Uncle Bill and Aunt Sarah gave me! I did not want to take it off!

Also, Dad and I watched a some TV together...like big kids!

But the best part was that I got my "Big Boy" bed! I knew immediately that it was for me! I climbed right on and got comfy.
Do you like my Snoopy and Woodstock sheets?? They were Mom's when she was little!

Jack is a silly dog...cuddling with the ice cream carton. I like mint-chocolate chip as much as the next guy, but gimme a break!

Here's a big highlight of my summer: I went to Virginia Beach last week!! We stayed in a beach house like last year and I got TONS of attention and love and good eats!!
The first night we went out to eat at Atlas Grill with all four of my grandparents! I love my "nonnos" and "nonnas"!!

At the beach house, I played piano with Dad...

"Play it again, Sam."
And, of course, I wore one of my spiffy new swim outfits to go swimming!
Here's me savoring one of many pasta meals!
"Catch me, if you can!"
Mom and I read a lot of books!

Uncle David laid it on thick, but I gave it back to him. I can joke with the best of 'em!

And I told Steven that his big sister Rachel gave him a great haircut. I don't want a haircut just yet; I like my curls!

And I did a lot of dancing with Nonno Ciro! Fun!

As always, Aunt Diane CRACKED me up! She is hilarious!
Auntie B came over to play, too. We played hide-and-seek!

Do you think she can find me??

We read a lot of wonderful books together...

Here are Nonna and Uncle David cooking yummy things!

One night, we ordered half a bushel of crabs: YUM!!

Dad said crabs are serious (ly delicious) stuff!

Can you tell we had great weather?

Here's me keeping cool in the pool!

"Hey! Where'd I go??"

Silly Daddy!

At the end of the week, we had a small party in honor of Baby D2!!

One of the best parts of the party was that Cousin Colin came over to play! We had fun!

Here are Aunt Jan, Mom and Aunt Laura!

Aunt Katya knows all about good literature. We had fun reading together!

And, as always, Aunt Di had me in stitches!

Here are Mom and Dad opening a few gifts for Baby D2! Isn't this "American Idol" cap funny??

I can't wait to try out some of the new toys!

P.S. Recognize me? I look tan, but actually I'm covered in pasta sauce: yummy!

P.P.S. Here's some more recent excitement: yours truly facing forward in the car! I'm likin' the new view!

P.P.S. And here's Mom with her big 38-week belly! My little sibling is going to arrive soon; Mom said there isn't any room left for him/her to grow!

P.P.P.S. Wanna witness some De Falco Family fun (and silliness)?? Here are all of my aunts and uncles teaching me "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes." Don't I have a cool family?!
