Getting Personal

When Sammy was born, a couple of our friends sent him burp cloths with his name and initials monogrammed on them, which I LOVED.  In fact, those burp clothes became my go-to baby gift for the years following. There's just something extra special about personalized gifts, right?

Well, we've received three for Sebastian so far, and I'm pretty sure he can tell that someone gave him a gift that's just for him!

It started when my dear friend Jenny sent this beautiful blanket to Sebastian so soon after he was born that I wondered if she ordered it while in labor (her son Chase arrived 5 days after Sebastian).  I was REALLY impressed.  Isn't it wonderful??
And here's Sebastian in the monkey bath towel that our next-door neighbors gave us.
This is the back.  It means that this towel is only for Sebastian the Monkey. ;-)
Also, my dear friend Ginny sent this sweet book made just for Sebastian De Falco. Hehe. Sammy and Brie also have books like these from my aunt and uncle, and they love them. I'm so glad that Sebastian will have his very own book to enjoy as he grows up, too.

And here's my final example of fun personalization:  the label from a bottle of Coke Zero that Tony's coworker gave him.
Have you seen the latest "Share a Coke?" ad campaign? Bottles everywhere have people's names on them!
Well, Apparently, Taki bought the soda above and immediately thought of Tony. I kind of love this campaign because it makes you seek out people you know with the name on your bottle...and interact with them when you might not otherwise. And the recipient knows that someone was thinking of them: Can't beat that! (It also might mean that you buy twice the number of Cokes because you buy one for yourself and one for your friend whose name is on the bottle.) Personalization is brilliant!

P.S.  I'm also thinking that Sebastian's going to need his own stationery soon, too...just like his big sibs!
