My actual due date

Our Sebastian is 1 week and 1 day old today, and we're so glad he picked just the right birthday for himself instead of listening to the doctors (and arriving today on my actual due date). ;-) We've had the most amazing 8 days with our resident sweetheart!

Today we celebrated his arrival in a very special way:  we transplanted a gorgeous blue hydrangea that our especially thoughtful neighbors Tab and Brian gave to us when Sebastian was born. You may recall that our home in Durham had the most spectacular blue hydrangeas alongside it...one of my favorite things about that home!  How wonderful that we now a blue hydrangea for Sebastian to grow up with, too!!

And if Sebastian had not arrived 8 days ago, then we wouldn't have so many special memories from this past week...hard to believe it's only been a week!

 

Another great way to celebrate a little brother joining your family??  Frozen yogurt and a little happy dancing. This yogurt shop had some pretty jammin' tunes playing...

 

Oh, the happiness we've experienced this week...and all because of this little cutie. We're thrilled he decided to join us a little early!!
