Brie and I just returned from a wonderful weekend visiting Auntie B in Maryland!! It was fun to spend time "just the girls" and see where Beth lives (and works)! We ate lots of yummy food and slept in both mornings...yay! Saturday was overcast, so we went to the Leesburg Outlets. Can you tell the cherry blossoms were in bloom?! 
Brie and Auntie B got some good snuggles in! 
And Brie got in a power nap or two after all that power shopping! 
On Sunday morning, we went to the Fractured Prune in Rockville for some AMAZING donuts!! Here's Brie trying to get a bite of my delectable "Pebble Beach" donut! 
After donuts, we went to visit my friend Kate (from Japanese summer school at Middlebury, circa 1997: yikes!), her husband Larry...and the newest addition to the Legates family: Bridget! Their beautiful little girl is just 2 weeks old and absolutely precious. It was great to catch up with Kate and Larry in person, and very fun to hold a newborn again...so hard to believe that Brie was that size 8 months ago!! 
All in all, we had a wonderful visit in Maryland! Here's Brie chomping down on her "Baltimore Crab" toy that we found at BWI. I told her to get excited about all of the crab cakes and crab dip that she'll get to enjoy when she's a bit older. Yum! 
P.S. While Brie and I were gone, Tony and Sammy had a fun Boys' Weekend! They enjoyed the Museum of Life and Science, the playground, take-out Chinese food and some Japanese children's TV programs. The house looked wonderful when I returned, so I must give credit where credit is due!! Here are the boys!
