Auntie B's visit and NKOTB concert #4!

We just had a great visit from Auntie B! She arrived just in time for some Mother's Day love, including massages from a few professionals!

And some gardening!

And some quality time in the backyard!

In the afternoon, we went to a Kids Challah Bake! (You've probably seen my past posts from challah bakes like this. SO fun!)

Brie helped to read the instructions...

Sam was reluctant to participate at first, but quickly joined in when he saw all of the mixing and sticky, gooey fun going on around him.

Both loaves turned out beautifully and were delicious!

On Monday morning, we spotted NKOTB on "The Today Show." Could it be that it was almost concert time?? They even gave a shout-out to their next show...Cincy! Woohoo!

We bought our tickets back in November and we've been patient...let's do this!

Here's our group (minus Lauren...we missed her!)!

First up was BoyzIIMen! They sounded great, but only sang a few songs!

Next was Paula Abdul. At 54, she can still dance and sing! (And her backup dancers were amazing.) Her music is so fun and upbeat!

Once again we bought our tickets through Groupon and, once again, they were outstanding!! Look how close we were to the satellite stage!

And here they are on the main stage. Still not far! Remember this song, anyone??

Of the four New Kids's concerts that I've gone to, this one had my favorite song playlist by far! They performed ALL of my favorites, including songs I hadn't thought of in decades! And they played them in the best order, too...great hit after great hit! Also fun: the guys showed old photos of themselves and laughed at how far they've come. (During the shot below, Jonathan Knight sang his solo song, "Happy Birthday" (which I LOVE!) just to me (well, sorta)! It is my birthday month, after all!) The whole night brought me so much joy!

Beth and I have now attended four New Kids concerts together!! Each and every time we're reminded of Hawaii--the breeze, the smell--and how so much of our life there revolved around NKOTB's music! Hooray, for nostalgia!
