Fall is in the air!

Fall is in the air in Cincinnati! We've had gorgeous weather lately...crisp and cool at night, and sunny and warm during the day. It's inspired us to get out and enjoy some of favorite fall activities...like Irons Fruit Farms!

"Look! A green one!"
"It has a smile, Mom!"
Ready to go!
But not before we eat some apple cider donuts!!
As for our first pumpkin carving of the year? It's Pikachu!
We've also been spending lots of time riding around...
Playing soccer twice a week...
And working on our Halloween costumes! Brie has known for months that she wanted to be a "Reds Vendor" for Halloween, so we've collected all the supplies we would need and started putting it together bit by bit. Here she is coloring cotton balls to look like popcorn...
And wrapping softballs in tissue paper to look like snow cones...
Here's the dress rehearsal...it all came together beautifully!
Sebastian and I went to the zoo with his buddies the other day. The weather was perfect, so ALL of the animals were out!
You know what other animal has been out this fall?? Bees. Unfortunately, one of them stung Sebastian's hand and upper lip during a soccer game last weekend. Poor little guy. Mean little bee.
Gammy gave Sebastian some Paw Patrol rain boots recently, and he's been wearing them ALL. THE. TIME. "Bootsie! Bootsie!" (Of course, they're even more fun with Brie's hand-me-down owl umbrella.)
Last week, we had Jimmy and Janet over for a fall feast...a great evening of food and laughs. We love our neighbors!!
Speaking of good eats, the kids just received a yummy care package from Nonna filled with Halloween cookies!
And it wouldn't be fall without the Storybook Acres Fall Party!! The kids were super excited to dress up...here are Jason Voorhees (NO, Sammy has not seen the Friday the 13th movies), our Reds Vendor and Thomas the Tank Engine. Hehe.
We had a fabulous turnout at the party...lots and lots of little kids! Here are some of them by the firetruck after the parade!

The adults enjoyed bowls of delicious homemade chili while the kids played, did crafts and engaged in competitive donut eating...ha!
Our local high school wrestling coach brought his miniature therapy pony named Liberty to the festivities. Sebastian LOVES horses, so this was a very big deal for him. A horse that's his size!!
What a great start to fall...more to come!!

P.S. "Bootsie! Bootsie!"
