Spirit Week 2015

Last week was full of dressing up and celebrating: it was Spirit Week--culminating with Purim--at the kids' school. Always tons of fun!

Monday: Pajama Day (only Brie wanted to wear her jammies that day)
Tuesday: Crazy Hat/Hair Day
Wednesday: Rockwern Spirit Day (only Sam wanted to wear blue and orange that day. Next year, we'll work harder at coordinating efforts!)
The school has a wonderful program where every family gets a special box of goodies during the week of Purim. The kids love opening it to see what's inside; this year's contained art supplies, snack foods from Israel and some cool dress-up gear.
Thursday: Team Spirit Day (Brie wore UVa and Sammy wore his Purple Tigers uniform from fall soccer)
Friday: Purim! (= Costume Day)
Speaking of costumes, we all enjoyed looking for Sammy and Brie on the big corkboard of "babies in costumes." My little ninja and sweet pumpkin have both grown so much 4.5 years!!
Then it was Purim Carnival time! Sam and Liam (a.k.a. Optimus Prime and the Firefighter) were in it for the games and candy...
whereas Brie and Shayne (who had long since shed their costumes) loved the face-painting and bounce-house (and the candy, of course)!
Did I mention that a little Dalmatian was there, too? Sebastian got a big kick out of seeing his big sibs at the carnival, but was clearly disappointed that their candy was off-limits. Maybe next year, puppy dog!
A great Spirit Week was had by all! Chag Purim, Friends!
