The kids and I just enjoyed a wonderful visit from Gammy! Tony was traveling for work for 10 days (More on this soon!), so Gammy came to lend a hand and keep us company! The quality time with her was a treat for all of us. By the way, what a change from the weather we had when Gammy came in March 2014;
last year we were sledding and building snowmen, while this year we were out for bike rides and jump-roping!
As always, our time with Gammy included snuggles...
toys (both old and new)...
delicious eats...
and a good laugh or two!
It was also exciting for Gammy to attend multiple gymnastics and ballet classes!
While the big kids were at school, my mom and I got things done around the house, ran a lot of errands, took long walks in the neighborhood, and even attended a
lecture by Dr. Eben Alexander! He wrote "Proof of Heaven," a book that we both enjoyed reading. No surprise, Dr. Alexander was a really interesting speaker and it felt good to support him in Cincinnati since he's from Virginia (and has ties to both Duke and UVa)!
What a perfect visit...can't wait for the next one!
P.S. We love you, Gammy! Thanks for showing us how much you care during your time in Cincinnati!
P.P.S. Guess who figured out peekaboo right around his 9-month birthday??
And has been sitting up and playing just like a big kid these days? Sebastian!!
P.P.P.S. Tony did return just in time to see Sammy perform in the kindergarten-2nd grade musical! Can you tell that he and Yedidya are grasshoppers??
The musical was called "BUGZ," and was about how there are many kinds of insects and they all must learn to respect one another's differences and be friends. It was very sweet!
Brie sat in the front row and cheered on Sammy and his classmates. Sam couldn't wait to find her and Sebastian after the show. Here are our big star and his groupies! ;-)
