Alumni book shout-out

It's not unlike me to be driving around town and hear about a good book on the radio, and then immediately request it from the library...which might explain why I'm currently reading two really good, albeit vastly different, books right now.
The first book is Bossypants by Tina Fey and the second is Life After Life by Raymond A. Moody Jr., MD.  What I didn't realize until I was starting the second (before finishing the first--do other people do this?) is that the books have something in common: both authors are (like the gentle reader herself) University of Virginia graduates!

I think it's pretty much common knowledge that Tina Fey is a UVa graduate ('92)...one of our best known and adored alumni.  The second author's education was unknown to me until I started reading the book--turns out Raymond Moody received his bachelor's ('66), master's ('67) AND doctoral degrees ('69) in philosophy all at the University.  The similarities probably stop there (the books are very different in content and tone), but I was pretty tickled and proud to read the interesting things that come from a comedienne-writer-producer AND a doctor who specializes in near-death experiences, while discovering that I have something in common with both of them! Can I get a "Wahoowa!", anyone??
