Passovery, Eastery Fun!

We've spent the second half of April enjoying lots of holiday fun! For starters, we celebrated our Passover seder a little early this year...with our friends Laura and Elton. Here's our festive, matzo-eating group (with Samuel dabbing)...
It was a yummy, educational meal--the kids were eager to teach them all about Passover. In advance of the seder, Brie spent lots of time practicing singing the Four Questions in Hebrew. She did beautifully!
Sebastian sang (and danced to) a cute song he learned at school about the ten plagues...
We all took turns reading from the Haggadah. Samuel read about how children are all different, so when they ask question about Passover, we get a variety of answers. I love when kids hear that their different personalities and styles are a good thing!
And then we ended in only a bit of frenzied afikomen hunting this year. Apparently, I hid the akifomen too well last year and, despite clues, managed to do the same this year. It doesn't help that our kids are competitive. I give up!
Sebastian got to celebrate Passover with this classmates at school, too. It was the adorable. Songs...
Silly dances...
Sweet smiles...
Yummy seder food!
And a big thanks to Ms. Scheier. Sebastian loves his Hebrew teacher...just like his big siblings before him did!!
And then Nonno and Nonna came for Easter!
We enjoyed an extra long weekend with them...Brie played soccer (they won!)...

There also was a little piano practice in the mix. Actually, Nonno's been learning piano lately, so it was great for the him to see how far the kids have come!
We ate delicious pizza at Forno...
Played indoors on our one rainy day.
And then we spent a lot of time outside...it was sunny and warm!
We planted a tree next to the house!
And here are the kids biking and scootering around Summit Park. Such a glorious day!
Easter lunch! Lobster ravioli! 😋
We also snuggled while watching TV...
Reenacted the battle of Gettysburg (apparently, the Confederacy (a.k.a. Samuel) won this time)...
And chomped down on Nonna's Easter cookies!!
What a fun two holidays! Plus everything is green and blooming in our neighborhood, which really makes it feel like spring is officially here. Finally!!

P.S. I added a "Y" to our recent holidays because Tony and I have been playing the NY Times Spelling Bee game online a lot and when there's a Y in the mix, you can eek out a few extra words, if you know what I mean! ;-)
