Guess where we just went for Spring Break? You guessed it...Ft. Myers, Florida. It's quickly becoming our favorite place to go to escape the long, gray winter in Cincinnati. There's lots of ❤️ when we're down there.
The best part is that we've got a routine now. We get up really (REALLY) early, catch the 7 a.m. flight to Ft. Myers, and then arrive in sunny, beautiful Florida by 9 a.m. It's hard to beat!
Here are the kids modeling their new swim goggles the night before we flew out. Sebastian's pout cracks me up.

It was cool to be in Ft. Myers for St. Patrick's Day this year. The town has a pretty good size parade (with hundreds of people dressed in green) that we drove through. ;-)

The kids found Apples to Apples and Scrabble in the cabinet, so we played both all week. ALL week. A2A was particularly amusing since Sam and Brie are still learning the nuances of sarcasm--they got better at it!--and Sebastian can't read yet. He would just throw in random cards and often his answers cracked us up. For example, one time, the adjective was "Ritzy" and he submitted "Kurl Russell." See what I mean?! π
Brie's friend Ellie was down in Ft. Myers again this year, too!

I'm not sure we explicitly said not to swim since you're not in your swimsuits, but it would have been pointless anyway...

Our family discovered sand volleyball on this trip. We had great fun...
Sebastian tried SO hard to play!! We really admired his determination.
One of our days was rainy, so we visited the new library in Fort Myers. It's really nice and they had a toy room! Ironically, we were there with half a dozen other families from OHIO. Haha.
That afternoon, we watched the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Very entertaining!
Of course, we went out for ice cream. YUM!
Another must: breakfast at Heavenly Biscuit!! π
Since the kids loved Jungle Golf so much in Virginia Beach last year, we ventured out to Golf Safari one morning.
We didn't keep score--our kids are TOO competitive--but we all took note our best holes.
Some were especially challenging!!
We also learned that we have a golf prodigy in the family! Check it out!
Sebastian didn't know what to make of his shot, but then he celebrated with the rest of us!
We also enjoyed the (heated) pool, which I thought was too cold, but the kids didn't notice at all!

Oh, and watching the Purim Shpiel (that we usually participate in) via streaming. Let's hear it for technology!

We were delayed in Chicago, but a surprise sushi restaurant made everything better.
