It's been cold out lately. Like REALLY cold!! On Wednesday we didn't get out of single-digit temps! They even canceled school for three days since it was too cold for kids to stand out at the bus stop. It felt a bit excessive...my father-in-law joked that I would have to start homeschooling!
The kids and I made do, however...here are a few examples of how we spent our time:
Sebastian and Brie built a Duplo amusement park...
And we went to see Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse at the theater. It was EXCELLENT, including the soundtrack!
Then Sebastian thought of a hundred creative ways to line-up his Hot Wheels cars.
Brie tackled some origami...
And then everyone made caramel-M&M apples.
They were SO good!!
Did I mention we knocked out Valentines?
AND attended a Zumbini class, too? What can I say...we had a five-day weekend!!
And then today was sunny and warm out. We walked around the neighborhood with no coats, and then Tony put on shorts and vacuumed out his car. We even opened all the windows and packed up my trunk with things to donate! Woohoo!
Tonight was Super Bowl LIII, so we made a yummy spread and celebrated at home. These two handled the appetizers. They made a football field out of guacamole and a football out of cheese cubes. It was a delicious dip!
Our homemade pulled pork recipe got another A+. The kids really liked their Japanese beverages, too!

The game wasn't very exciting until the fourth quarter and, unfortunately, the Patriots won. Not exactly the ending we were hoping for.
Nonetheless, we've had a taste of spring break and we're looking forward to a really warm week...a few days will reach 60! Talk about true weather whiplash! Have a great one everybody!
