Back to school!

We (very) recently returned from vacation, so I'm working on that post...but in the meanwhile, school started today! Summer went by in a blink this year...first a trip to Virginia Beach, then Sam and Brie's favorite day camp and then family time in Italy (more on that soon!), so he we are! The 2018-2019 school year has begun!

After a wonderful meet the teacher last night, the kids were very excited this morning. Sam was up bright and early...and raring to go, and we had to wake up Brie a little before 8 (=extra beauty rest!).

Both kids packed a book to read on the bus (with no prompting! 😍) and a souvenir from Italy (magnets) for their teachers.

After a tearful good bye (Sebastian REALLY wants to ride the bus with his siblings), Sebastian and I headed to Rockwern, so he could re-meet Ms. Toni and play in her classroom. Sam and Brie both had her for pre-K, so Tony and I know what a fabulous year is in store for him. He's officially ready for Day 1 tomorrow!!

The big kids reported that they had a wonderful first day...awesome teachers and reuniting with friends. It's going to be a great year!!

P.S. On Monday, Brie's neighborhood book club kicked off the school year with their annual pool party at Brenna's. As always they had a blast. Time to pick some great books to read!

P.P.S. And then on Tuesday, we had a little back-to-school spa time. ;-) Colorful and ready for school!
