It was hot and muggy out, but Sebastian celebrated his birthday in style with his buddies last weekend. It started with cake-baking! Sebastian is still crazy for baking, and he requested a "dinosaur carrot cake," so here he is with the shredded carrot and a tower of sprinkles (thinking ahead)!
Cream cheese frosting is a must on carrot cakes!
Sebastian was my creative director here...he knew exactly where he wanted the dinosaurs and their eggs (Jelly Bellies). Turned out great!
Then after he went to bed, Tony and knocked out one more cake (yellow with chocolate frosting) since we knew that a lot of kids were coming to the party.
The park we picked has a really fun blacktop that's perfect for little wheels.
It was fun to see everyone riding around.
We crossed our fingers all week for no rain, and the weather forecaster definitely delivered on the sunshine. BUT...it was steamy out! The kids took refuge from the heat by building Legos and eating popsicles in the shade!
Then it was cake time! Check out Sebastian's game face as he put his #4 candle on.

Both cakes were a big hit. Good thing we made two!

We had an awesome morning. All that celebrating called for an afternoon nap in the air-conditioning. Happy 4th Birthday, Sebastian!
