Purim is full of glee!

You might have seen the ad in the local paper...

But in case you didn't, last Wednesday evening, "Muppets take Shushan" hit the big stage!

And Lips (Brie) and Betsy Bird (yours truly) were there!

You knew it was us, right? Lips the trumpeter in the Electric Mayhem Band... 

And Betsy Bird the classic Muppet of dancing fame. :-)

Check out some of the other costumes, like Sharon the 80's Robot and Tracy as Sam the Eagle!!

Ready for the show!!

"Muppets take Shushan" is a musical (of course)...and it included a lot of pop songs. It was fun that most of the audience already knew all the tunes.

Brie sang two solos, including the line, "Purim is full of glee...ending with M and beginning with P."

And I did a little dance!

Go, Muppets!!

What was super cool was that Auntie B got to see the performance via live streaming!! It was 10:30 a.m. her time in Sydney, so she could watch us from her desk at work. She said the picture was clear and the sound was good. Big win!

You know what else makes Purim an especially joyful holiday? Making our favorite hamantaschen recipe. Yum!

Blackberry, raspberry, chocolate chip (of course!) and lemon curd!

Plus Sebastian's school carnival...

Complete with games and face painting.

Then all three kids got dressed up for a family Purim carnival over the weekend!

And we wrapped up our celebration by digging into this "Ice cream sundae in a box" kit that we got from Sebastian's school.

Even yummier with buddies like Jocelyn!!

What? There are flurries predicted for this week? I hope our Purim glee lasts until spring arrives!!

P.S. In other happy (though not related) news, Sammy wrapped up his 5-week water polo clinic. His team even won the "championship." Such a fun way to try a new sport!!
