Happy dance!!

With spring break on the horizon, but spring still taking its sweet time, we've been doing the happy dance for everyday things that bring joy these days. For starters, Brie got her first American Girl Doll!

To "earn" Tenney, she made her bed every morning for a month. Brie's thinking was that she would finish the month, we'd order Tenney, and then she'd come in a week or so.

But thanks to the magical world of grandmas, Tenney arrived after dinner that very night. Can you tell that Brie's expression is one of joy and mystification?? "It was the fastest package ever!"

What a special evening.

Brie was up bright and early the next morning to play with Tenney. She even managed to find a "matching" outfit in her drawers! 

Then Ellie came over to play with her doll Leah!

Other happiness of late?? Girls' Night Out at dinner and a comedy show! Tons of fun!

Then UVA won the ACC Championship...Wahoowa!! (We do not need to talk about anything that happened AFTER that...)

Last week, the second grade performed the play, "You Can Never Have Too Many Friends." It was very sweet. Check out the rainbow of kids!

We've also been baking a lot lately. Challah...

Speaking of which, did everybody have a fun St. Patrick's Day?? My attempts at capturing my green trio peaked with this shot. Oh, well...

Sunday was gorgeous and we were lucky enough to get to enjoy our neighborhood egg hunt that afternoon. All three kids had a blast!

Yesterday our good friend Lindsey (from Duke) was in town, so Tony and I had lunch with her. Nothing beats seeing an old friend!

Sebastian started after-school art classes and loved it. Here's the camping scene he made!

And speaking of after-school activities, Sam wrapped up taekwondo by breaking this board. Ha!

And Brie participated in the Variety Show! She was in two dances and told jokes, too.

The show was great fun to watch!

And the ultimate cause for a happy dance these days?? Cards with cash from the grandparents!! Gosh, were the kids thrilled to get mail and a little bit of money to spend. Love their dance moves!!
