Turning six? Celebrate in style!

Turning six? I highly recommend celebrating in style like Brie! It all began with a delicious Mexican dinner (just like her 5th birthday) that included Gammy!

Complete with a serenade...  

A sombrero...

Whipped cream on Brie's nose...

And fried ice cream with her siblings. :-)

And for a party? Brie wanted a fairy theme and we thought, "That would totally work in our backyard!" So we sent out invitations for a Scavenger Hunt to find the fairies, wood sprites and other forest creatures in our backyard! Brie had a great time decorating her peaches-and-cream cupcakes with "fairy dust"...

 and little fairies!

Meanwhile...Tony and I had a blast hiding fairies and such all over our backyard for the kids to find...

Then we sang...

and ate cupcakes and fruit!

Good eats with good friends!

Then arts and crafts!

 

And popsicles! (It was really hot and humid out!)

We all had a fantastic time celebrating our six-year-old! We love you, Brie!!

P.S. Brie received many wonderful gifts for her birthday, including this (her first) jean vest from her friend Sarp. Auntie B took one look at this photo and wrote, "Best. Gift. Ever. Every girl remembers her first jean jacket." Like I said...turning six in style!!
