Last night Tony and I got to see one of our favorite bands perform live: Dixie Chicks!!
We've been big fans since college and, after a ten-year hiatus from touring, they're back! We were also thrilled to hear that they were kicking off their comeback tour in Cincinnati!!
We sat on the lawn...with pretty much everyone in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky; I have never seen that many people at an outdoor concert! You could tell that it was SOLD OUT!The two opening acts (Josh Herbert and Augustana) were both good, but nothing beats the talent of the Dixie Chicks!
They played new songs (fabulous!), all our old favorites (yay, for "Goodbye, Earl"!!) and even covered several songs, including "Daddy Lessons" by Beyoncé. Yes, Beyoncé.
As you can see, they had really cool graphics and videos that played while they performed.
And the rain held off! Aside from an overabundance of tattoed, drunk, vaping fans in short shorts, it was a perfect night!
