At the beginning of the week, it was still pretty chilly and snowy out, so our outdoor adventures revolved mostly around the (ever so slowly melting) snow. Gammy and the the kids built a snowman...
and played a lot of hide-and-seek and freeze tag in the backyard.
Back in the house, Gammy tackled a few sewing projects...and Brie was her assistant!
Of course, the week included a lot of good eats. For starters, we had a great time celebrating Mardi Gras with some delicious King Cake. Sammy grabbed up that little baby before the rest of us had a chance. I guess he's excited about his baby brother coming in June. ;-)
Brie showed off her pistachio-cracking skills to Gammy. We were all impressed...hehe.
Oh, and lots of good eats all week, including ribs and barbecue at the Montgomery Inn. Like the gals in their rib bibs??
By the end of the week, the outdoor temperature had improved dramatically, so we got to spend a lot more time outside...without all that pesky snow!
And the kiddos were thrilled to get out with their scooters since it had been so long. So nice to explore our neighborhood with blue skies and sunshine above!
Gammy returned home earlier today, but we can't say enough about what a wonderful trip it was. It was 7 days of snuggles and reading books and playing games. Did I mention funny faces and goofiness...especially at bedtime?? What could be better?! Thanks for visiting us, Gammy! We love you very much!
