Snow Daze

The kids had last Friday off for parent-teacher conferences, followed by the weekend and Presidents' Day...and then two straight snow days (totaling about 7" of accumulation)! After this unexpected winter break, it's fair to say that we're ready for school to resume.

Nonetheless, we have enjoyed some time off from our usual routine, the opportunity to sleep in, and a chance to bake, play in the snow, and snuggle up with a good book whenever we liked. Here's a peek!

We baked cookies for Valentine's Day...

and had fun opening care packages from Nonna...

 AND Gammy. V's Day was especially sweet this year!

We Skyped with Colin, Declan and their mommy in Norfolk, Virginia (they also had a snow day or two)!

We played outside in the snow...

and went sledding twice!

Like Brie's "I wanted to sled alone!" face??

We snuggled up for great books like, "Super Hair-o and the Barber of Doom" and watched Sleeping Beauty together...

and snuck in a giggle or two..."just the boys."

And we took note of the two bottom teeth that Sebastian is getting (his first two!). Can you believe he will be eight months old tomorrow?? Someone's especially proud of himself!

Here's to going back to school tomorrow...it's been a fun respite, but we're ready!!
