Brie's First Snippety-Snip...and a visit from an old friend!

By the time that most kids are 3 1/2 years old, they've had many haircuts.  But Brie's hair has taken its sweet time growing in.

Here she is at five months old (next to Cousin Ralph)...not much hair (for either of them)...

And here she is at age one...still not much hair...

And here is Brie at two years old...still waiting for hair...

So it was only recently that we realized that she could use a little trim! We headed straight to Ms. Tori (she cuts my hair) and she gave Brie the royal treatment.

Brie's been watching Sammy get his hair cut for years, so she knew just what to expect.

Brie loved all of the attention and Ms. Tori gave her a beautiful trim! The finishing touch was a little braid on the side to keep the curls out of Brie's eyes.

Brie was very pleased with her new 'do. Perfect, wouldn't you say??

And what could make our weekend even more fun?? A visit from an old friend!! Mary Beth was my coworker for four years at Notre Dame in Baltimore, and we've been friends now for--!!--over 12 years! Gosh, does time go by quickly! She was in town for a work conference, and was kind enough to come a day early to catch up with me and Tony, and to meet our kiddos! It was wonderful to see her...nothing beats a good friend!

The kids loved playing with Mary Beth: here's Brie creating some Crayola masterpieces with her. ;-)

We hated to see her go, but we look forward to seeing her again...hopefully soon...in her neck of the woods!
