Happy Birthday-nksgiv-ukkah!

Last week was a fun and busy week for our family! We hosted all four grandparents, my sister and her dog Panda for Thanksgiving! Did I mention that Hanukkah started the night before Thanksgiving? And did I mention that Gammy's birthday was ON Thanksgiving?  We were in full celebration mode!

Here we are on the first night of Hanukkah...

Brie got a very special gift from Auntie B!

A super cute dolly that looks just like Brie. ;-) Dolly has since received a lot of love and attention.

Another popular gift was the View Finder! Remember those classic toys from decades ago? Auntie B found these gems for the kids.

Then first thing on Thanksgiving morning, we celebrated Gammy's birthday! The kids were excited to wish her a very special day--complete with quality family time and good eats, of course!

Speaking of which, here's a shot of our pretty table and our beautiful new rug! Ready for turkey!

Before digging in, we went around the table and said what we're all thankful for.  Sammy said his friend Isaac and then his friend Arielle.  Brie said pumpkins and then family.  Pretty sweet.  That deserves a hug!

We also had some outdoor adventures last week! Here's Brie showing off her rock climbing skills for Granddaddy Rob.

As for indoor activities, well, you can't beat reading time with the granddads!

And how did we spend our "warm" Saturday evening?  We went to the Cincinnati Zoo for the annual lights show. Just like last year, the kids had a great time and it was a feast for the eyes!

 

 

Well, I can't leave out the super fun Hanukkah celebration that we attended at Sammy and Brie's school on Monday. It was fun to see all of the kids sing and dance together...everybody had a good time.

P.S. Another great Hanukkah gift??  Spiderman gloves that make noises while you "shoot webs." Pretty awesome.

 

P.P.S.  We took Sammy and Brie to see the dinosaur movie at our local museum's OMNIMAX and it was wonderful! For Sammy and Brie, it was their first movie EVER, so to see one that's eight stories tall...well, it felt like the dinosaurs were going to step on us, which the kids loved! We highly recommend it!
