Ten years ago today...

The older we get, the faster time flies, right? Right! That is exactly why I can't believe it's been ten years since my dear friend Jackie and I traveled to Korea and China during our spring break while teaching English in Japan. I was 22 years old (and Jackie had just turned 23), but we were pretty fearless and ready to conquer East Asia on our own! We had many exciting adventures and some crazy ones, too! (See one of us for a good anecdote...or seven!) Hard to believe we did it all on our own.

Here we are ten years ago today at Simatai--a section of the Great Wall of China not too far from Beijing. It was a beautiful day, as you can see, and the Wall is absolutely amazing to climb.

Maybe we'll go back one day, but for now parenthood is providing us with plenty of adventures!

On a side note, if you're in the Manhattan area and looking for additional ways to help out the cause in Japan, check out this site! Thanks!
