Mom and Dad bundled up Brie for the air-conditioned car, even though it was nearly 100 degrees outside! Back home, the grandparents and I put a pink "Baby Girl" balloon on the mailbox to welcome her!
I was pretty surprised with how small (and cute!) Brie is! Did you notice that I wore my Italia t-shirt
just for the occasion??

At first, I just examined her. "Wow," I thought. "Was I ever that tiny? I fit in there??"
I admired her tiny toes...
And then I did what all good big brothers do, I offered her my favorite toy: Dad's old UVa basketball. I wanted her to know that there are great toys here and she's going to be very happy.
I think she liked it, though the whole experience made her pretty sleepy!

Sleeping angel...

Our new family of four!
In conclusion, my sister Brie is great! She looks a bit like me, but with Jane Wiedlin's haircut. Pretty cool!

P.S. Another perk to Baby Brie's arrival: Uncle Fred and Aunt Claudia sent us a feast of honey-baked ham, mashed potatoes, greenbean casserole and chocolate cake! Mom and Dad claim they sent something similar right after I was born, but for some reason, I don't have a memory of it...
P.P.S. In case anyone's wondering, Jack says he wishes Mom and Dad had brought home a puppy from the hospital...instead of another baby. Oh, well!
