Snowflake. BLINK. Art in Bloom.

We've had a busy fall, but I didn't want it to go by without a post or two to share all that we've been up to.

Our family adopted our first pet since Jack the dog! Meet Snowflake Comet De Falco! The kids quickly came up with her name and, surprisingly, there was no squabbling about it.

She wasn't quite sure what to make of us when we first brought her home...
But we gave her a big cage (fish tank actually) all to herself...
Lots of treats!
And time to get accustomed to us.
Now she loves being held. Isn't she cute?? She's very unique: her left eye is red and right eye is black = very unusual!!
And is very sweet and patient with the kids. 😃
A few weeks back, we ventured down to OTR for BLINK! We started with pizza at A Tavola...
And then walked around, taking in all of the interactive lights displays!

The psychedelic murals and dancers were pretty awesome!

The highlights for the kids were this piano (here are Samuel and Brie trying it out) and the seesaws!
I also had the great fortune of going to see Art in Bloom with Christine. This event happens every two years at the Cincinnati Art Museum...and it. is. amazing. Local florists and floral designers are commissioned to create arrangements that are inspired by works of art in the museum. It was a feast for the eyes and brain!

Ready for flowers and art!

This van Gogh was my favorite. We got to vote for our top three after walking around...and guess what? It won!!

I'm pretty much counting down the days until the next Art in Bloom in 2021!!

Everyone else having a great fall??

P.S. We also...

Just wrapped up soccer!
Samuel's season ended on a VERY high note...his first (and only) goal!! [I recommend viewing this on full screen.]
Made challah at the Kids Challah Bake!

Chaperoned Brie's class trip to the local farmer's market!
Enjoyed a concert in our neighbor's backyard!
Started taking advantage of the cooler temps with some gorgeous fall jogs!
And retreated indoors on very cold days!

More fun to come!!
