Girls' Weekend!

Like many good things, this was years in the making AND a test in patience...Ginny, Whitney and I finally had a girls' weekend in Florida earlier this month! I hadn't seen Ginny in four years and Whitney in nine! This was long overdue!!

And now! We each flew into Ft. Myers' airport, met up, rented a car and, in no time at all...we were relaxing on the beach!!

And enjoying Mexican food at Skye's...I got my usual plus a strawberry margarita!

We had beautiful weather all weekend. Sunny with fewer...

and fewer...

clouds! We hung out, read, napped, caught up, walked along the beach, swam and enjoyed the view!

We also went to Bayfront Bistro for a delicious dinner...

And a final, gorgeous sunset! Our reunion was wonderful, but too brief! Can't wait for the next time!

Meanwhile, back at multiple ranches...

Tony was in Quebec City for a science conference! (It was 40 degrees cooler than Ft. Myers!)

Le Québec est beau!!

And Nonno and Nonna were in Virginia Beach visiting Granddaddy Rob and Gammy! They went to see the Righteous Brothers in concert! (And had lots of yummy meals and wine together.)

Which, by process of elimination, means that Auntie B came to Cincinnati to watch the kiddos! We were so thankful that she was happy to help out. Plus she's very organized and has great attention to detail, so they did really well!

Lots of art contests...

And silliness and snuggles...

And getting the kids ready for school and soccer and bedtime and countless other things. Luckily, Beth kept it all together and our friends were very helpful when it came to after-school activity carpools. One of my friends even picked up Beth and took her to my yoga class while the kids were at school. Pretty awesome!

Beth and I were practically ships passing in the night...I left right before Beth arrived in Cincinnati and she was flying out an hour after I flew back in, so we used the airport's valet parking with my car (=AWESOME) and got to see each other briefly before she flew home. Lucky us!

I'm already looking forward to the next Girls' Weekend...and, hopefully, it won't have this many moving parts and crazy logistics. Phew!
