Play on, Playa!

Brie's spring soccer season kicked off yesterday with the best possible start. For the second season in a row, she scored the first goal of the season! But it didn't stop there...after only two practices, Brie's team played beautifully together! Every one of her teammates came out with energy and enthusiasm....and they won 5-1! (Brie even got a second goal...and then saved three while playing goalie!)

Then this afternoon, despite torrential rain (actually, it had been raining for nearly 24 hours) and swamp-like conditions, the girls played again...and won again (3-0)! Let's hear it for The Kicks!!

Check out Brie's jersey? She was the (unofficial) winner of the Muddiest Player Award...by a landslide! 

Speaking of soccer, Sebastian is desperate to play. He even made himself a #1 jersey with Scotch tape, so he could play "on the blue team." Poor guy. I'm in the process of signing him up for soccer summer camp.

And speaking of Brie, she is the Star Student this week, so she filled out this poster all about herself. So fun to see your child as a snapshot in time. In this case, soccer is prominently featured. ;-) So is Brie's love for STEM subjects...hope that lasts!!
