Hey, I know that Founding Father!

Last week, the third graders hosted their annual "Wax Museum"!! Each kid chose a historic figure to research and represent. Then students and parents visited the museum, where characters are "frozen" until you push their button and they come to life and tell you their story. Sammy picked one of our FAVORITE people. Can you guess who??

After you pushed Sam's button, he would begin with, "Excuse me, but I'm writing the Declaration of Independence." To prepare for the Wax Museum, Sammy read four or five biographies about Thomas Jefferson; Tony and I loved watching Sammy him become our resident expert. We even learned a lot!

Putting together Mr. Jefferson's costume was fun, too. So proud of Sam for wearing a wig with a ponytail AND a ruffly blouse. 

Sebastian enjoyed Sam's speech, too!

What an exceptional group of historical figures!

We're already looking forward to next year's Wax Museum!
