Happy Halloween 2017!

We hope everyone had a very happy Halloween yesterday (or maybe I should say all month??)...we certainly did!

Our Halloween celebrations began last weekend when we attended a neighborhood party. Tony and I went back and forth about what we wanted to dress up as, but when I started to think about childhood toys, I remembered that my mom had sewn Raggedy Ann and Andy costumes for herself and my dad in the early 80's! Would you believe that my mom still had the costumes and that they're in great shape?!
Actually, the only things missing were Ann and Andy's hair, so we used red duct tape for Tony's and I made my own yarn wig (with yarn I already had--crazy, right?--and panty hose)! High five to this woman for her excellent YouTube tutorial...the wig only took me an hour and a half!
Everyone had great costumes at the party, but here are a few of our favorites. Tab and Brian dressed up as each other from our 80's Prom party back in May. Tony and I were hoping that that mullet wig would make a comeback. They did not disappoint!!
Joe and Belinda went as Bob Ross and one of his "happy little trees." :-D
Oh, and who doesn't love Baby and Johnny?? Such a good idea!!
We love our fabulous neighbors!!
Of course, we carved some pumpkins this year. Minecraft was especially popular.
Tony also did a spider web and spider. Love Brie and Sebastian's joyful faces in this shot.
And we went to our neighborhood Halloween party, too! Here are our Soul-taker, a race car/Thomas Train/pirate and a Fish!
Brie and I made her costume again this year. She's an excellent creative director and I can use a glue gun like a MF.
Isn't this shot of Rob and Sebastian checking out each other's costumes the sweetest?
Parade time!!
And THEN the kids celebrated at school... (I thought the most clever costume in Brie's class was Samantha's...she's the Weather Girl in the front row. See her Weather Channel microphone, broken umbrella and crazy hair? She cracked us up!)
There goes my Soul-taker!
And my fish!
We've had lousy weather lately, but as you can tell, Halloween was gorgeous. Ready for candy!! Sebastian opted to trick-or-treat as Super Boy. ;-)
He kept saying, "Please," instead of "Trick-or-treat." Not that we're complaining...
Brie and buddies!
Here's to candy and fun times! Brie's already brainstorming her costume for next year. I bet you're not surprised!!

P.S. Beth posted this fun throwback Halloween picture last week. We're in costumes that, yet again, my mom made. Aren't we cute? And isn't Beth's caption hilarious? Haha!
