All thumbs!

Usually the phrase "all thumbs" refers to someone who's not very dexterous or good with their hands. But, in our case, I'm talking about how there's a lot of thumb-sucking going on in the immediate and extended De Falco-Krebs family! Indeed, as you'll see below, one might say it's an inordinate amount!

Here's Sebastian from this past spring...
and then more recently. We doubt he'll be stopping anytime soon!

But who did it start with? Mom? Well, here's me (in white) at age two and a half...
And then a year or two ago, I was looking at a photo album from my childhood, and spotted a photo of my cousin Turner as a child. Whaddya know? The left thumb!
And then there was my cousin Laura's son Colin...
Followed by Sammy...
As well as Brie...
And Colin's little brother Declan, too!
Yeah, I'd say that Tony and I knew that (left) thumb-sucking might just be inevitable for any child we had. Funny, huh?
Well, Colin and Sam have both kicked the habit, and Brie likely will soon, too.  Until then, it's pretty cute and might just have its perks?? Our kids have all been good sleepers and have very strong immune systems (heaven only knows what has gone in their mouths with those dirty thumbs!). And it's amusing to think that something small like this can be hereditary--a new line of research for Tony?? I'm pretty sure the findings would unanimously point toward the kids being all thumbs in our family!
P.S. Can you tell that Sebastian is an "open palm" thumb sucker? Different from most thumb-suckers in our family! For a short period of time, Baby Brie was happy with whichever thumb was closest but she ultimately settled on her left. Of course!
