The last two weeks have flown by in a flurry of fall fun. First of all, Gammy came to visit! She brought toys and goodies for everyone...
And playing with her was as fun as ever!
Since it's fall, we played out in the backyard a lot...
Can you blame us? The weather was perfect! And we ate a lot of delicious food, including homemade pulled pork and coleslaw...
And Japanese dishes at a local teppanyaki restaurant. This was a thrilling "first" for the kids!
We also took Gammy to our favorite autumn destination: Irons Fruit Farm!
The pumpkins were plentiful, so we had a tough time choosing the finest for carving!
"That one's nearly as big as I am, Dad!"More pumpkins!
Gammy and I also visited Sam (and Eli)...
Even Sebastian in his jammies enjoyed the meal!
Did I mention we made a trip to the park?
Made Brie's ghost costume trick-or-treat ready...
What else has our fall been busy with? Well, Tony carved a small Olaf pumpkin for Brie...
And we attended the Blue Ash Halloween Walk! Check out our zombie, ghost and ...
Sebastian the Crab! Is anything sweeter? So happy I spotted this costume on Craig's List!
Tony and I also got all dressed for an adults-only Halloween party! We were eagerly anticipating the occasion since we love Halloween and it's been ages since we went to a costume party! But first, we needed some inspiration! Did everyone see "Jurassic World"??There was Owen the raptor trainer...
And Claire the Park Operations Manager...
So watch out, Dinosaurs! Owen and Claire are fierce and ready to fend you off!
Oh, and Brie's not scared a bit...not even of her mom's crazy wig! Hehe.
OK...so maybe I was a little frightened. At least Tony wasn't!
The party was tons of fun...countless good costumes...we laughed a ton. Our friends Kirt and Heather came as Jerry Seinfeld and Elaine. Heather cracked us up...she owned every piece of her costume except for the scrunchy she wore, which came from CVS. Ha!
What else have we squeezed in lately?? Our family participated in Mitvah-palooza, a large community service event for families. Here are Sam...
and Brie decorating old shoe boxes that we'll fill with school supplies for needy children. We also made bags out of old t-shirts!
And who can forget our neighborhood Halloween party?! The kids got all dressed up again...
and walked in a costume parade led by a Montgomery firetruck and police car!!
There goes my zombie!!
And check out Brie the ghost and Brenna the Snow Fairy Princess!
Check us out!!So it's safe to say that fall fun has been in abundance for us lately. And we still have trick-or-treating to look forward to!
