Over the river, through the stadium and back!

Yesterday we participated in Cincinnati's annual March of Dimes walk (www.marchforbabies.org). It was supposed to rain, but the weather ended being great--a little overcast, but warm.

Brie brought an umbrella just in case.

One HUGE perk of the walk is that we got to go inside the Great American Ballpark and walk around the diamond.  The kids LOVED it!

Another memorable moment?? Tony made a new friend!  Does anyone know Domata Peko--the starting nose tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals??

Well, Tony and I spotted him and his team: Team Peko! (He's the big Samoan guy below, walking with his two sons.) And, before we knew it, he had struck up a conversation with Tony about where we're from, how the team is looking this season, and the recent NFL draft.  He was a superbly nice, down-to-earth guy...and he definitely won us over (considering we're Ravens/Skins fans)!

Part of the walk took us across one of Cincinnati's many bridges into Newport, KY...

and then back across into Ohio again. The kids loved the bridges since you could see the Ohio River below.
