Make like a tree and...

Our neighborhood has hundreds of beautiful trees in it.  It was, after all, built in the '60s!  Our sweet across-the-street neighbors have lived in Storybook Acres since they built their home in 1964 and, thus, watched each and every tree grow up around them.  Well, the beautiful tree in their front yard had to come down this week since it was unwell, and could cause a lot of damage if it fell.

Here's the tree: it's the tall green one across the street!

And here's the enormous crane that came to chop it down piece by piece. They had to close our street!

Sammy and Brie could not believe this was happening and wanted to know how the tree got sick.

Here's our view now. So different.
