Brie's very own Friend

There's just one thing that Sammy asks for before bedtime and naptime...and that's Friend.  Friend is his sheep blanket, a sweet gift I received at a baby shower before Sammy was born.  A long while back, Tony was tucking Sammy in one night and when he gave him the toy, he said, "Here's your friend." Needless to say, the name stuck.  Sammy's called him "Friend" ever since. 

On more than one occasion, Tony and I have thought to ourselves, "Brie needs a Friend!"  So we finally got our act together and went online to see the selection of "Friends."  Friend's blankety buddies (in the Gund Baby Comfy Cozy line) include a lion, a dog, a giraffe, to name a few...  But we were won over pretty quickly by this cute green frog; it seemed to suit Brie (and it's not pink)!

So...thanks to Amazon and our new Amazon Prime account on Monday, we finally ordered Brie's Friend (named Froggers according to Gund). Yesterday Froggers made its big arrival!  (:

 

And tonight we gave Brie her new friend: Froggers. Sammy was very excited that Brie has her own Friend now and Brie seemed to know just what to do with it.

P.S.  A little internet research revealed that Friend's real name is Lopsy, but that's wimpy!  Friend suits him better...you can't be a wimpy sheep blanket these days!
