8 Crazy Nights and 40 Winks

Happy Hanukkah! We kicked off our eight nights of celebrating by lighting our menorah tonight. Yes, it does look like Sammy lit the candles, but I assure you he did not. (And, of course, right after this photo, we made sure that the flames were nowhere near him.)

Today was wonderful for another reason, too! Brie slept through the night last night!! When we woke up this morning, Tony asked what time I had fed Brie because he didn't hear me get up. After a bit of confusion (read: DID I feed her??), I said with delight, "I didn't feed her! She slept through the night!"

I wonder what the trick was...maybe the panda bear pajamas?? Or Brie giving us an early Hanukkah present??
Either way, it was really nice to get that much uninterrupted sleep...especially since it probably will be weeks before it happens again!

P.S. Here is a little art project that Sammy made at school. We LOVE the fact that he put Hanukkah stickers on it, but that he chose to paint it red and green. What a smart boy...the holiday season is about many faiths!
