Sammy's first day of school!

Today was Sammy's first day of preschool! We have been eagerly awaiting today since we just knew that he would love school. He did not disappoint!

Sammy was eager to try new things and play with all of the toys that we don't own: definitely a perk of school!

VROOOM!
At snacktime, he sat right down at the little table and devoured his crackers...no surprise! Sammy is yet to meet a food or snack that he doesn't like...well, except for cherry tomatoes!
He also tried drinking water from a paper cup!

Before the morning ended, the kids sat in a circle on their parents' laps and we sang about each kids name, what they were wearing, etc. Just like at library storytime and sing-a-long, Sammy stood in the middle of the circle and danced...ending each song with an arms-out-tada! motion. He really is a showman!

Sweet little Brie slept the whole time, but we think she was taking notes. ;-)

On the way home, Sammy grabbed a favorite book to read...so to answer Nonno and Nonna's question, he welcomed homework...even on the first day!

Next week, Sammy will attend school on his own. We'll keep you posted on his playground adventures, finger painting and much, much more!!

P.S. This evening was the start of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year. Earlier today, Sammy, Brie and I went to a neighbor's house to enjoy apples and honey with their children. Sammy really enjoyed his milk in a pink sippy cup, his big slices of apple and listening to stories and songs by Mira (below) and Zoe. Happy New Year!
