At her one-month appointment, Brie weighed 9 pounds, 13 ounces, so she's been putting on weight like a champ! We weren't surprised since she looks and feels heavier, and I'm delighted that all of my hard work is paying off...hehe.
Brie's little personality is starting to emerge. She is much more vocal than Sammy ever was...eager to tell us when she's wet or hungry...or both! She sleeps well at night...sometimes for 4 or 5 hours at a time, but is a lot less psyched about napping during the day. It's been interesting adjusting to a baby who likes to be held, rocked and bounced...but we're enjoying all of the cuddling!
Sammy, on the other hand, remains steadfast: balls, books, music and Dora (that little explorer we all know and love) are of utmost importance! We consantly marvel at how much he learns daily. He's starting preschool soon, but already knows most shapes and colors...and he can count to five!
Gammy and Auntie B came to visit recently, so Sammy and Brie got lots of hugs, playing and book time!
Part of growing up is learning to love bathtime! So it took a few "practice runs," but like her older brother, Brie now really enjoys her baths.
Well, she's not smiling quite yet, but she's not crying, so we assume she's enjoying her baths.
We recently took Brie to her very first restaurant: The Original Q Shack in Durham. She was very good...maybe because a Blue Grass band was playing that night. We took a few family photos afterward for fun. Sammy LOVES barbecue and footballs, which explains how excited he is in these photos. :-)

Here are Sammy, Brie and the grandparents...ready to watch the world premiere of "Dora's Big Birthday Adventure." Sammy even got out his Dora doll. It was a big night in the De Falco house!
Mandy, Jeff and Gracie...and Danielle, Chris and Abby came over the other night for Honeybaked Ham night! We enjoyed a ham after Sammy was born and my aunt and uncle sent us one after Brie arrived, too. YUM!! All of the kids loved it!
P.S. One challenge of having two kids is getting everyone out the door to run errands! The other day, I finally worked up enough courage to take both children to the grocery store! Here are Sammy and Brie are at Target...pretty cute, huh? They did great and we've gone back since. So far, no "Target Tantrums": phew!
P.P.S. I took this photo of Sammy's lunch the other day because it reminded me of the color palate from the fun show on HGTV called, "Colour Confidential." Wonder which color I should use to paint the living room ceiling...
