DIY Crashing
I'm so excited to feature a guest (my first??) DIY goddess: my mom! Check out her magic!
Recently, she was running out to do some errands when she spotted this sad, old chair that a neighbor put out on trash day. Against my dad's wishes (hehe), she put it in her car with a great DIY project already brewing in her mind.
In just a few days, she disassembled the chair seat and removed multiple layers of fabric and seating foam (and countless nails); sanded down the chair; and primed it.
Then she recovered the seat with a fun fabric that she bought a few months back
thinking it would be great for a chair--if she only had a chair to
cover! A paint store helped her match the pretty "apple green" in the
fabric and VOILA! = a beautiful new chair! A vacation in the islands, anyone??
The chair's new home is my sister's bedroom...lucky Beth! Beautiful job, Mom...I'm feeling very inspired now! Off to tackle a new project!!

Thanks! My mom is SO talented when it comes to MANY things: sewing, knitting, repairing/updating furniture, interior design, you name it! Very inspiring!
