Yesterday was Brie's 4-month appointment and, though she's lost quite a bit of hair (see below), she makes up for it in weight! She weighed in at 16 pounds, 8 ounces (95th percentile) and measured 24 3/4" (60th percentile)!! Here's our little Brie Bear! (I LOVE anything that reminds me of my childhood, so I had to snatch up this little Care Bear shirt for Brie. It's perfect for her since she's so full of sunshine!)
Brie has been quite busy lately. She's taken an interest in local politics, so she accompanied me to the polls earlier this month!
Sammy (a.k.a. Mr. Nearly Two) has become even more of a chatter box lately. He's begun to string sentences together, like "Dadda go school?" and "Mommy red jacket?" He loves school and asks every day if he can go. Who wouldn't want to learn numbers, letters and colors...play with lots of spherical objects...wear socks and shoes (one of his favorite parts of getting ready for school)...AND ride to school with Daddy every day?? The best part is how funny he's becoming...and increasingly silly...

Sammy still loves anything that resembles a baseball bat. Here he is on the swing...with a stick he found at the playground...his new "Bat!"
What else have the NC De Falcos been up to?? We had a wonderful time earlier this month when our good friends from UVa came to Durham for the UVa-Duke football game. We didn't win...yeah, the game was pretty ugly...but seeing old friends could not be beat. Here we are: Ginny, me, Jenni, Whitney and Maggie.
Here we are with hubbies and little ones (Sammy, Connor, Conor and Brie)! The only one is missing is Whitney and John's little guy Jack who's 9 days older than Brie.

It looks like we have a tradition of passing down PJs in our family. Recently, Brie started wearing the "Mommy's Little Monster" PJs that we adored on Sammy. She looks a lot like her big brother when she's sportin' them!
