Feel the love!

February is proving to be full of love and good times for our family.  For starters, we enjoyed a family retreat that was a restful and fun-filled weekend away for the De Falco Five.
Singing and dancing...
Arts and crafts...
Cooking...
Swimming...
And movie night, too!
We returned home rejuvenated and ready to tackle the week...including two holidays! For Tu B'Shevat, Sebastian's school put together seders for each grade, so I had to go and check his out. Look at all of the delicious treats...the kids loved it!
Speaking of love, for Valentine's Day, Sammy and Brie agreed that they wanted to make their own valentines to give to friends.
I always admire Brie's stick-to-it-ness...she traced and cut out over 25 of these stencils of her hands...
Which looked like a heart when you opened the valentine!
Sam built a heart out of Legos and then we photographed it. He glued the pics on construction paper and gave those out. Very Sam!
I was feeling festive and artsy (and healthy!), so I put this together for Sammy's class party!
Lots of second grade fun!!
We also loved our time with cousins at the zoo!
And I love this beautiful artwork that Brie painted at school. Best Cubism by a six-year-old that I've ever seen.
And it's unanimous that we love Sebastian's new haircut!
Friends we love? How about a playdate with classmates...
and dinner with neighbors!
More love?? Tony and I realized that last week was the 20th anniversary of our first date in college! Back then we went to a favorite UVa restaurant, had some good laughs...and the rest is history! (We didn't take a photo that night because we're not millennials and no one carried around a camera, let alone a cell phone with a camera in 1997...but here is a pic from that era.)
To celebrate two great decades, we tried a Japanese restaurant that's been on our must-visit list for awhile. It was one of the best meals we've had in Cincy (which is saying a lot...there are tons of good restaurants here!) and definitely the best sushi. We can't wait to go back!!
And in a rare moment of no squabbling, here is the De Falco Trio goofing around and enjoying a day off from school. Hope you're feelin' the love, too, this month!
